This is an opportunity to empower the creators who are changing hearts and minds every day, to strengthen the infrastructure behind their work, and to ensure that plant-based advocacy continues to grow, evolve, and reach new audiences.

As a board member, you will not simply advise. You will help build. You will be part of a passionate, solutions-driven team dedicated to measurable impact and real cultural change.

Who We Are

​

VCC is a nonprofit building infrastructure for vegan content creators. We train creators to reach mainstream audiences, build sustainable businesses, and coordinate campaigns that put plant-based messaging in front of people who would never seek it out on their own. Our programs include a year-round paid community, an annual Los Angeles conference, and multi-creator campaigns with measurable impact.

What We're Looking For

​

We are seeking board members with nonprofit and fundraising expertise to help VCC grow sustainably.

 

Ideal candidates have experience in one or more of the following:

• Nonprofit fundraising and development

• Grant writing or foundation relations

• Nonprofit board governance

• Major donor cultivation

• Experience in the animal advocacy, vegan, or environmental nonprofit space

 

Responsibilities

• Attend quarterly board meetings (4 per year, ~90 minutes each, virtual)

• A meaningful annual contribution to support our operations (give or raise)

• Review materials before meetings

• Provide strategic guidance on fundraising and nonprofit operations

• Help identify and connect VCC to funding opportunities

• Serve as an ambassador for VCC within your network

 

Time Commitment

Approximately 2-4 hours per month. This is a volunteer position, reviewed annually.

Jeremy Kocian, Co-Founder and Director of Marketing & Sales, attends all meetings as staff leadership.
